This is one of the most common questions people ask when they’re contemplating quitting sugar: Can I drink alcohol?
The assumption, of course, is that booze is full of sugar. Which is correct. Sort of. But there is good news here for those who like the occasional drink. Many people are surprised to find that red wine and beer contains minimal amounts of fructose and is okay to drink in moderation while quitting sugar. However, we recommend no more than one standard drink per day.
Is alcohol allowed on the 8-Week Program?
Yep, a wine or beer with dinner isn't a problem. Keep in mind we recommend no more than 1 standard drink per day and that it's not something that you do every single night. There's a stack of different beverage options on the Program so make sure you try them as well!
Is alcohol allowed on the 7-Day Reboot?
As we're giving your whole body a reboot, we recommend cutting out all alcohol for the seven days. Remember it's only for a short time!
